The Canadian Auto Workers tentatively agreed tonight to new concessions that will save the struggling automaker $240 million annually and help the carmaker to try to avoid a bankruptcy filing, CAW President Ken Lewenza said at a news conference. In exchange, the CAW got Chrysler and potential partner Fiat SpA to agree to keep its two Chrysler assembly plants open even if bankruptcy is unavoidable, Lewenza said. General Motors and Ford Motor Co., which signed new CAW agreements earlier, have indicated their desire to get the same concessions as those negotiated with Chrysler, Lewenza said.

SAIC is calling for aspiring designers to demonstrate their talents by designing a future sedan, SUV or MPV for Roewe in 2020. With Roewe's position as a high-end marque, SAIC has highlighted that elegance and innovation as key considerations for entrants. The new design competition was officially announced by executive director of SAIC Technical Center Zhang Cheng at the carmaker's Shanghai-based Design Center.

We first started to wonder if Lamborghini were having problems with the Aventador a few weeks ago, when a friend of Cars UK told us that his LP700-4 – which he’d been told was in build in September and due at his dealers in October – was mysteriously bumped until April 2012.
